Warsaw's
historic architecture suffered particularity severe
destruction, mostly resulting from premeditated Nazi
terror and vandalism. In 1944 was destroyed in more
than 80% in spite of everything, the city remained
the country's capital. It has been rebuilt as a
modern city.

The peak tourist
season starts May and ends October, when the weather
is most pleasant; January and February are the
coldest months, where temperatures can drop well
